Welcome to Braves Summer Rowing

We are excited to have you aboard!

Your initial registration was successful and one of our

program coordinators will be in touch soon.

The quicker we complete the full registration process, the

sooner we can hold your spot and get you out on the water.

Your first payment is due with registration.  If you plan to row multiple weeks, you can pay all at once or later on.  After registration, each week's payment is due no later than one week before.  A reminder will be emailed from our treasurer.

Paypal is the most convenient way to pay.  You can select the number of weeks you wish to pay for now, and click below. Please note that Paypal fees are included.

If you prefer to write a check, please make payable to "Braves Rowing Inc" and drop it off at the Boone High School main office along with all your paperwork.  Please let us know if you choose this method so we can be on the look out.

Of course you are now asking, "what paperwork?"

As part of the OCPS system we do have a few documents and requirements to be able to row with Crew.  Below are two packets which you will need to download and fill out.  All of these documents are due at least one full week prior to the week you plan to attend.

The BRI Summer packet is mostly info for you to read, acknowledge and sign.

The Emergency Medical page stays with the coach so he has immediate information should something occur.

The Swim Test Form is required to be completed by a Lifeguard or Water Safety Instructor.

It is a simple water test which can be completed at a YMCA, health club or most city parks/facilities with pools.  http://www.cityoforlando.net/recreation/pools/

If you have taken a recent swim test which was documented by a lifeguard, you do not need another one, however it must be a similar test and able to be verified with a copy included.

The Sports Physical packet is needed in it's entirety.

If you have had a recent physical (with the last calendar year) your doctor's evaluation may replace pages 4 as long as it contains all of the necessary information.

All other pages in the packet must be filled out and returned.  The physical packet goes directly to our athletic trainer for approval, and once the athlete is cleared, stay on file at BHS.

Documents can be scanned and emailed back to us, or dropped off at the BHS office.

If you are over the age of 18 and registering yourself to row, please contact us and we will tell you what documents we need.

Now that all that paperwork is done

get ready for some fun!

Here are some tips to make the most of your week:

Please arrive to Boone High School by 8:50 am at the Bus Loop.

The bus will leave promptly at 9:00 am to maximize your time at Turkey Lake.

The bus will return to Boone High School at noon for pick up.

Wear comfortable athletic clothing including socks, sneakers and a hat...maybe a small towel because this is a water sport you know.

Start your day with a full bottle of water in a refillable bottle and bring a snack because you may work up an appetite!

Sunscreen is recommended.

Please text 407-929-3738 if you will not be attending a day during your week.
