Beginners and Experienced Rowers Welcome

Summer Camps are open to all rising 6th through 12th grade students, regardless of school zoning or attendance!

Whether you're new to rowing or looking to compete at the highest level, our summer camps offer the perfect opportunity to develop your skills, build teamwork, and have an unforgettable summer on the water. 

LEARN TO ROW CAMP 

🚣‍♀️ No Experience? No Problem! 

This camp is perfect for rising 6th – 12th graders who are new to rowing. Led by experienced coaches, you'll learn the basics of rowing while developing teamwork, discipline, and confidence on the water. 

📅 Choose one or more sessions: 

  • June 2 – June 5 

  • June 9 – June 12 

  • July 28 – July 31 

  • August 4 – August 7 

 

⏰ Time: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM 

📍 Location: Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake 

💰 Cost: $150 per week (Attend one or multiple sessions!) 

👥 Our Goal: Recruit and develop the next generation of Braves rowers! 

 

SUMMER RACING CAMP 

 

🏆 Train. Compete. Shine. 

 

Want to learn how to race? Our Summer Racing Camp is designed to teach new rowers the skills necessary to participate in their first regatta and push experienced rowers to the next level as you prepare for the Summer Festival of Rowing at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota! 

 

What Makes This Regatta Special? 

✔ Side-by-Side Racing – Compete in thrilling head-to-head races in all boat categories. 

✔ Summer Composite Clash – Race in boats with rowers from different teams to challenge your adaptability and build new connections. 

✔ College Recruiting Showcase – Meet college coaches who will watch you race and attend a special college fair. 

✔ Development-Focused Schedule – Multiple races per day with afternoons free to enjoy St. Pete Beach!

📍 Training at Turkey Lake: 

  • Week 1: June 17 – June 20 

  • Week 2: June 23 – June 27 

  • Week 3: June 30 – July 3 

  • Week 4: July 7 – July 9 

 

🏁 Race Weekend: July 9 – July 13 in Sarasota, FL (includes lodging) 

 

💰 Cost: Estimated $1,150 (includes all training weeks + race lodging; food & race fees not included) 

 

📌 New rowers must attend all four weeks of camp to be fully prepared for the regatta.

Payment will be invoiced by email and is due in full upon receipt to guarantee your registration spot. You may pay by credit card, ACH or by Zelle.

 
Rowers must either pay a daily park entrance fee of $2 per person/$5 per vehicle (ask for a receipt for same day re-
entry for pick-up) OR purchase an annual Turkey Lake Park Pass ($80 for family pass). 

Completed forms for emergency medical treatment authorization and swim test (see #2 and #3 below) are due no later than one weeks prior to enrollment week. Registration is not guaranteed until payment and all forms have been submitted. 

*Dates may be subject to change based on minimum weekly enrollment.  ALL paperwork must be turned in.

Steps to Register:

1. Complete Registration Form: 

2. Complete Emergency Medical Treatment Authorization Form: Please print, complete, and scan/email this form to Registrar@boonerowing.com at least two weeks prior to your first week of rowing camp. 

3. Complete a Swim Test: Please download and print the Swim Test Form. A certified lifeguard must complete and sign the form at the time of athlete's swim test. Once completed, please email the form to:  Registrar@boonerowing.com.  Swim Tests may be completed at Fort Gatlin pool. Call ahead to make an appointment: 407-254-9820. There is a $2 cash only fee. You may also check with your local YMCA or City of Orlando pools. 

4. Park Admission: The daily park entrance fee is $2 per person or $5 per vehicle (keep your receipt for re-entry at pick up time). If you choose to pay daily for park entrance, you do not need to do anything further. Summer Rowing Payment will be invoiced by email and is due upon receipt. Registration is not complete until payment is received. 

Payments are nonrefundable.  Rescheduling is based upon availability.
